Tom Venables

Tom is Landmark’s ESG Lead Consultant and has 10 years’ private and public sector experience, specializing in risk management data solutions and consultancy services for ESG due-diligence and environmental issues for the legal and investment markets. Tom studied at Royal Holloway University of London for his undergraduate BSc Geography degree and the University of Brighton where he completed his Masters in Environmental Assessment and Management.

At Landmark Tom started his career in the environmental consultancy team specialising in contaminated land and flood risk assessments undertaking phase 1 site audits, site investigations and managing multi-disciplinary development projects. In the last 3 years Tom has been working exclusively with legal and investment clients on ESG due diligence services built around Landmark’s Risk Horizon platform which he has helped develop and evolve. In addition, he has contributed to ESG practice notes with the Practical Law Company, and began delivering a sustainability lecture to MSc students at the University of Brighton in 2023.
